Project Team

The head of the Project Team is Assoc. Prof. Simeon Groysman, lecturer in General Theory of Law, Philosophy of Law and Theory of State, creator of the only course in Bulgaria on Law and Religion discussed in the perspective of human rights.

A member of the team is Prof. DSc. Malina Novkirishka-Stoyanova, President of The Balkan Association of Roman Law and Roman Legal Tradition "Societas pro Iure Romano", author of numerous studies in the field of Roman law and founder of the modern teaching of Roman public law in Bulgaria.

In different project directions their efforts combine: 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Dilyan Nachev - lecturer in theory of law and legal linguistics.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Tihomir Rachev - lecturer in Roman law and history of legal ideas.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Stoyan Ivanov - lecturer in Roman law and classical Latin legal terminology.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Stoyanov - lecturer in civil law.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Anastas Punev - lecturer in civil procedural law.

Bogdana Zhekova - PhD student in Theory of Law.

Petya Ajopova - PhD student in Theory of Law.

Veselin Novkov - law student.

Members of the International Expert Council advising on the project activity are:

Maria Ignatovic, University of Nis, Serbia. Professor of Roman Law, author of numerous publications, textbook and textbook for interactive teaching of Roman private law.

Juan Manuel Blanch Nougués, Professor of Roman Law at the Catholic University SEU San Pablo in Madrid.  Author of a seminal reference work summarizing the study of legal dogmatics through the lens of Roman legal sensetia, their use in legal argumentation, and their place in modern law.

Tomislav Karlović, University of Zagreb. Professor of Roman Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, author of numerous scholarly works in the field of Roman and comparative private law.
